Why Choose Highland Village Family Medicine

For over 40 years, Highland Village Family Medicine has operated as a small independent practice. Many other family practices now operate under large hospital systems and physician groups due to changes in the healthcare industry. However, at Highland Village Family Medicine, we have intentionally chosen to remain a private, physician-owned practice. Doing so allows us to retain greater oversight of our administrative processes and foster a close patient-doctor relationship proven to be the cornerstone of long-term positive health outcomes.

How Our Model Benefits You and Your Family

Our private practice model affords us the ability to consciously pursue personalized care for each patient. We provide you and your family specific services that ensure your visits to our office and experiences with our staff and physicians promote your health and well-being. These services include the following:

  • Consistency with staff and physicians due to our small-scale office

  • In-office blood draws

  • Point-of-Care testing for many common health conditions

  • On-site Digital X-Ray

  • Telemedicine services for established patients

  • Same-day acute care services and shorter in-office wait times

Membership & the Annual Wellness Program

Highland Village Family Medicine is an MDVIP-affiliated practice. This membership-based model lets our physicians care for a smaller number of patients, which means more time at each visit, same- or next-day appointments, reliable after-hours availability, and a genuine focus on prevention.

The Annual Wellness Program

At the heart of membership is a personalized Annual Wellness Program — advanced lab work, screenings, and diagnostics that go well beyond a standard physical, followed by 90 minutes of one-on-one time with your physician to build a wellness plan tailored to you.

Enhanced services available to our members

Beyond the core program, we offer access to a range of advanced preventive and diagnostic services, including:

  • Galleri - a blood-based multi-cancer early detection screening that complements (and does not replace) your standard, age-appropriate cancer screenings

  • Prenuvo - whole-body MRI screening for early detection

  • Cleerly - AI-assisted analysis of coronary artery imaging to help assess cardiovascular risk

  • Myriad - genetic testing to help understand inherited health risks

  • Fullscript - access to professional-grade supplements with personalized recommendations from your personal physician

  • …and more

Membership & fees

Membership is an annual fee of $2,650, which can be paid annually, semi-annually, or quarterly. Your insurance doesn't go away — we continue to bill Medicare and the commercial plans we accept for routine and sick visits, just as before. The membership fee covers preventive services that insurance typically doesn't reimburse, and while the fee itself isn't reimbursable by insurance, it may be eligible for payment through an HSA or FSA — check with your plan administrator.
